West Virginia University Foundation

At the Foundation, Jade worked with video editing, graphic design, and public relations writing for donor impact stories to better the University.

Through a year-long internship, the West Virginia University Foundation communications department allowed for Jade to work on various projects.

With Cassie Rice, Jade assisted in writing news releases about donor gifts and how it will improve student's lives at the school. Arranging her own interviews, meeting deadlines, and sometimes working with unique donors, Jade showcased her people-person skills with her writing abilities to create moving stories.

With Garrett Cullen, Jade has opportunities to work with her passion and aid Cullen on video projects. From carrying cameras and equipment and setting up the equipment on site (lights, mics, multiple camera angles), to actually shooting video, and editing some of the projects, Jade learned adhering t=video properties to a specific brand-image.

With Felicha Dugan, Jade completed monthly reports for the Foundation's website views, created multiple Foundation-to-donor communications graphics (such as designing donor name tags, birthday cards, donor impact reports). While these cannot be published due to University branding, Jade worked with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator frequently to expand her knowledge.
